ok, you can go to hp.com and customize a dv2000. I put one together for about 730. 512mb ram, turion processor, dvd burner, 14" glossy screen, nvidia integrated graphics (best integrated graphics on the market), great looking case,...
im just looking into it now. the new dv2000 is much like the dv6000 actually.
sure thing. I think that the dv2000 would serve your needs very well. It probably has a turion 64 in it, which is still a great chip. I've got a compaq v2000, which is basically the same thing as the dv2000. (hp and compaq are the same...
no, once the battery is 100% charged, it just sits there at that level. Batteries degrade when they are exposed to heat, which is what happens everytime your laptop turns on because laptops are hot. Unless you bought a big, fancy 12 cell...
try to get a dv6000. They look like 1,000,000 dollars
maybe you could look for a used dv2000?
the turion 64 is still way beefy. Esp. since it is a 64 bit cpu. if it was a dv6000, it had a x2 in it. they don't come with regular turions (to my knowledge)

the ti200 will blow that acer out of the water. the GMA 950 is not for gaming purposes, although you might be able to play newer games (ut2k4 on lower settings). If you want to game with a lower end machine, get one with an ati 200m,...
hmm, you could just keep your eye out for a used dv6000. I got one on anandtech for 550USD shipped. It was in brand new condition, with all boxes, manuals, etc. I really like it. Haha, you bet the turion x2 is sufficient. I benchmarked...
