MobMeter - This little utility monitors CPU and HDD temps. You have to be using XP and a laptop to use it. I just downloaded it to the HDD and put a shortcut to the startup folder to run it on startup. It works great on my Sony Vaio.
I would trust MobMeter. I have had other programs foul readings like that before, but MobMeter and MBM5 are both pretty solid.
