good point, yes i did have external speakers plugged in, but i unplugged them and still no record working, and the sound does work without the speakers plugged into the mic jack, out of the laptop speakers....its a 5660
tried to reboot and no , nothing unusual since my last usage
its weird because it used to work and now it just stopped, no sounds whatsoever getting to it.
did that too still no fix, sorry about the X4 posts, i did it by accident
thanks already did that , no luck, even went as far as to redo install audio drivers, even though there was no need to. any more ideas ?

can any one give me some help here, its not picking up any sound, any ideas ?
is there an airplane adapter for the 5660? cany find it on the accessories page on www.pctorque.com. thanks Dan
