I just started looking at a replacement laptop, and the G1S-B1 sounds about right. I could've sworn that I saw someone selling it with a hybrid drive configuration, but I can't remember where. Anyone else see this, or am I going crazy?

From the MS Knowledgebase article, it looks like XP SP2 should fix this problem. However, do you need to reset the CRC counter error still? According to the article, this means uninstalling the ATA/ATAPI driver... anyone try this?

Bios update went fine, but still getting the occasional lockup. I think it might be something to do with Paltalk. Any update on the ML-44 upgrade?

Msantos, Got the bios. I'll update tonight. Hopefully, this'll address the intermittent lockups I'm getting since upgrading from 1.4. I wait for your ml-44 review with baited breath. If it works for you, I'm going to see about swapping...

Msantos, This is the first time I'm hearing about Rightmark CPU. From what I'm seeing, it appears to be very similar to CrystalCPU Id. Just out of curiousity, why did you choose it to replace CrystalCPU?
