What kind of apps are you running and how much RAM do you have? Maybe it's just regular swapfile activity?
If you really suspect a HD problem, try running a scandisk and check for bad sectors. If any turn up, you've got a problem.

Check the Clevo website. Clevo is the manufacturer; Sager is just the reseller. IIRC, there is a cardbus driver update available from a few months ago.
If you can't pin it down to any known software (e.g., Diskeeper can be set to automatically defrag whenever disk fragmentation gets too high), then it could be either a virus or spyware. I'd recommend running a virus scan and a spybot...
The 3700+ DTR runs at 2.4Ghz. I'm not sure if the 4750's bios can run with anything over 2.2. You're best bet is to contact your reseller (Prostar), or the manufacturer (Clevo).
