this utility definately rocks! especially when using it with external speakers. I recently bough logitech x230 (33$ @ newegg) and i can hear more bass, clear vocals, good highs and lows.
it all started 4 or 5 years ago when most of the corporations moved their tech support overseas including dell. From then onward people started complaining about not understanding tech support, not being too helpful etc. Then the problem...

keep it! thats a good deal for those specs.
sell the usable parts! and buy a Dell e1705 rather than a XPS or many buy a used XPS m1710/170 off ebay
did you install your chipset drivers? how about running cpu-z and see what speed your cpu is running at!?
you can could get a 1gb so-dimm 667mhz ram for 75$ new from newegg. just look around
If it was an actual integrataed chip then it would have been awesome but seeing as its just a software program that emulates sorround sound and such, i would recommend not getting it.
