agreed. they are slow with everything. i wish i had paid 50 bucks more and bought cl56 from DL instead.
i just saw some guy on the "want it now!" website (part of ebay) asking to buy a drive of same model just so he can take the circuit board to use to get some family pictures off the old drive. you can probably do the same too...
