I have a friend has a Dell D620, he installed the new RC2 and also NVIDIA WDDM beta driver, he also did a windows update, installed the updated driver from there. but he cannot get aero effect? any help?

I have both. Both are good, period.

There is one PCIe slot. and there's a daughter card connected to the slot and the daughter card has the LCD panel connector so as end mentioned, there is a slot but getting BIOS/Mobo to recognize the upgrade is another problem.

if you mean display driver, I would suggest nvidia official/beta ones.
