Its to bad... It seemed alot faster with the old card... guess that was clevos answer to the heat problem, downclock...
I have had my 8790 down clocked to 390 435 for a couple of months... it was the only way I could play games without it giving me artifacts. But, it gradually got worse and now that doesnt even help. I have the original 8790 bought in...
I am having the same problem, just started a couple weeks ago... video lags just as you described it, it has also started giving me bad artifacts.

I had the exact same problem, exactly how you described it. my #2 hard drive went out, both times... once I sent it in to get it replaced, the other time they sent me a hard drive and I replaced it myself.

I have had two go bad on my 8790... it starts with the clicking noise.
Call sager and have em cross ship you a new one.

I did it with my 8790 I ran my 3.2 at 3.5 for one benchmark test.. didnt see a noticable differance though.... I really believe it runs to hot the way it is.. without OCing it.

Its been running 3.2 ever since then, havnt even oc'ed the vid card.
Its a first gen and the first hd failed right...
