I'd be really impressed if someone knows the answer because I've researched this missing hibernate tab in the power options aplet for some time now and no one has the correct answer. Many others have the same problem.

If you see the hibernate tab in the power options aplet then you are working correctly. All you need to do when shutting down in graphic mode is when you see the shutdown screen hold the shift key to see the hibernate button.

I have a client with the same issue on a tablet pc, reinstall is not an option.
