First of all, I've had my 8790 for about a week now, and I absolutely love it. I've been searching all over for problems with it just to make sure mine is perfect. No dead pixels or any video issues However, the one problem that I am...
Hmm. Maybe it wasn't you then G-Omaha, I'm probably just mixing someone else up. I just knew that you had one. ::shrug:: I do remember someone posting either on the Sager forums or one of the other notebook forums that they had...
Brightview is the term for HPs WSXGA+ display. It's the same one as the one used in the 8790. I'm not sure what the 4750 uses but if it's WSXGA+ then I would imagine it's the same screen that's in the 8790. Sony uses the term XBrite...

So you see what the price of the 4750V unit is there? That's with an WXGA and 2x DVD-RW drive for $2445. You'll be looking at $2600 for one with WSXGA+ and the 4x burner. Possibly even more, depending on when that price was quoted...
Actually, if you configure the AX7 (Hypersonic's 4750) versus their GX7 (Their 8790), the AX7 is more expensive unless you get a second HD for the 8790. So I don't know where you're getting that info from.
