Does Voodoo customize the machine in anyway other than cosmetics to justify the extra cost? Or am I paying for brand and support?

I am thinking of buying a Voodoo Envy m:780, before I do, I was wondering if anyone knows who manufactures the m:780 and if it is available from any other vendors? Thanks in advance
