RAM that is on the video card. I.E. it is dedicated to being used by the graphics card processor
I would go with the x1600 as itll handle dvds fine and programming i am assuming like java visual basic type of stuff? If so the card doesnt necessarily need to be high end graphics and if your only doing some gaming you probably wont need those extra fps you would get with the fireGL. so save some bucks and go for the x1600
Best for antivirus for me would be clamav as it doesnt use too too many resources and its free and always being updated. Firewall would be zone alarm free because its easy to use and seems to work well.
5 desktops, 2 laptops 2 of the desktops with win98se runing p3 and the other 3 are all win xp pro with intel 1.8ghz, and 2 amd 64s. the laptops are a sony and dell inspiron the sony has a 1.8pm as well as the dell all of these are still running strong
