The best "value" for SSDs seems to be the Corsair (Samsung) S128 SSD - available at around $300 & absolutely stutter free. Generally speaking, any of the Samsung or rebadged Samsung SSDs are pretty good at what they do.
VIPRE by Sunbelt Software. Small, fast & uses almost no resources. And it's rolled in with Counter Spy Anti Spyware - a winner in every sense.
Using WHQL 178.26 from LV2Go - flawless speed & stability, absolutely no issues, runs a couple degrees cooler than most others I've tried.
