probably conflict in software, if you want you can install it again just backed up your important data, if that doesnt work, try contacting dell, maybe hardware.

hello, just recently upgraded my 1gb to 2.5gb ram. but i dont see any difference in speed, and it seems that my boot up got slower.

try checking the fan of the m1210, probably its just need some cleaning.
