thanks for all the helps guys. uninstalling the u3 did fix the problem. works fine on both my mac and pc. I did like the password protection using the u3 software. Any other way to password protect it?

nope, still the same after formatting it to FAT32. Maybe if I remove the u3 software, it might work. I rather keep the u3 though.

when nothing is running, it only has 145mb of free space. Well only the finder and dashboard are running. I can't find where to download activity monitor.
