Most of it is DDR 266, one of the 512MB cards is Kingston. The 256MB cards are generic Dell ram and others (Samsung etc) I think the best way is just to try out different cards. I should also be really cheap now on Ebay etc. Shannon.
I haven't posted on this thread for a while. I have overclocked 4 laptops now. 3 of them were d600/600m (same motherboard) and the other was a i510m (uses the same PLL chip). The sound worked fine on all of them when overclocked. I...
I have tried it with a 1gig pc3200 but it wont even boot, I suspect that it is something to do with the ram timings still being set to fast for the ram.
My mistake then, but my motherboards will not run a DDR333 sitck as DDR333, it will only run at DDR266 regardless. The issue is that with the overclock the ram is running at 177Mhz, this is slightly faster than the 166Mhz that DDR333...

Mine is still running fine, I should mention that it is using an older banias 1.4 Ghz cpu though. The temps are only up around 3 degrees or so over the original clock. 90 degrees sounds way to high for any cpu. I have also tried...
Check out this thread if you want a hardware mod overclock http://www.notebookforums.com/thread185384.html
On my 600m the agp speeds stay the same with the overclock as without as the only thing that is being changed is the FSB. I also found that with my 600m being one of the older motherboards (1 gigabit lan and memory limited to 266mhz)...
Nice work, this also works on my older DELL 600m with a 1.4 Ghz Banias chip. The O/C pushes it to 1.87Ghz . I will give it a good stress test and then do the other one as well. I do appreciate the good pictures even though they do...
Try M 5236 -5.08M (the may be a B) 0937 That's what I get for having a 600m in bits all over my desk
