Looks like he's going to get either a dell or a sony. His main concerns now are the keyboard and touchpad. Which co. makes the better keyboard?

Reviving this thread... hoping to get some help on this.

The display picture goes back to the default alien head on grey globe background whenever I power on the notebook. I can change it all I want, but it goes back to the default whenever I restart. Same thing using the various themes....

I've been using the alienware backpack with my old computer for a few days. It rocks! Plenty of room for everything, and now that I have a spot picked out for everything, including pens, books, mp3, etc., it is great. I love it....

I've been having a similar problem with my m9700. Sent it in to tech support and they said it was the FEMOS battery. Check my review (in my sig) thread for the details. Hope this helps. LMK if it's the same issue for yours.
