Tried them on two 8790's last week, same results. CCC won't run. All video (including the few games I play) works EXCEPT video playback. Quicktime, MPEG, DVD, whatever, it jerks right along at about a frame every two seconds.

Ok, I have done both of those things and still cannot record sound using the sound recorder or webcam capture... Mic is un-muted, mic boost is on. Is there some other setting somewhere I am missing?

I have the same problem, with a HeadRoom Total Bithead headphone amp. It is a USB device with audio "card" capabilities built in. Windows/8790 report that a USB device - Audio CODEC - were detected but tha I should provide...

Cool - The 8790 seems to have DVI out, so to use it with my VGA CRT I will pick up the adapter. vtbook looks cool! For now, two dosplays will be plenty. A little off topic, but does the stand being discussed above help with heat...
