Got one for my son from Hypersonic.

Clean install with standard OS (WinXP Home) with all updates and updated drivers.

I bought the Hypersonic version of the cl56 for my son. I was faced with same decision as you and went with Hypersonic because the have a good reputation for gaming PC's.

Having done a burn in before I gave the system to my niece including testing the speakers with CD's and DVD's I would say that while they are still laptop speakers they do sound pretty good.

Congrats. I got one for my niece for University and if she is away from it for more that 15 minutes she starts having withdrawls.

If you are sceptical that Hypersonic does not do a burn in then why even consider buying from them? It does Hypersonic no good to advertise a 72 hour burn in period and not do it. 98% of all failures with electronic equipment...

I ordered a CX5 2 days ago for my son to use in college. Like you the choice was bewteen Hypersonic and Powernotebooks. I choose Hypersonic for the same reasons. Good luck and enjoy.
