i ordered the Toshiba sd-r6472 wich is also 8x, ultradrives says it is DL but there is no mention of that on Toshiba website so i'm pretty sure it isn't. That's ok with me i don't care much about dual layer. Hopefully i will receive it...

Eurocom is now offering the slot loading burner for the 8790, funny thing is i asked them 2 months ago about the Panasonic UJ-825, they said it would not fit. Now they are offering it, so i guess it does fit and the answer i got 2...

the idea of putting it into stanby is to save the nearly 5% it takes just to power it up when i stumble on a ''free network'' on the road and want to check my mail. I am on such a network right now lucky me i am also in a parking...

But 10% an hour seems like a lot considering i have ''prolonged stnby'' on in the power settings.

Ok about the hard drive temp sensor, but the question is if the maximum temperature taken from hard drive specs is the room temperature or the internal temperature. All hard drive specs i have seen state 55C as max temp, if 55C is drive...
