I need to fflash the bios to do a restore and put XP home(OEM) on. I dont have that at home. Is there an easy way to flash 0f08 onto my 6811? I made a mistake by upgrading. I am not sure if I can get this running well with any other OS....

I can do this. The bios flash didnt fix the shutdown issue anyway. I was hoping to avoid opening it up. Suppose I have to anyway.

Uhmm I did update the bios to 0F09 do I just reinstall ex again or is there another way? For instance is there to reinstall the XP without wiping it? I'll do whatever I have to do I mean Id install win2k but I dont think it has support...

After retore my m6811 it doesnt like the OEM on the sticker that is stuck on the bottom of the laptop. Anybody else have this issue. Is it like the older oem # where it is more or less generic on could I have the wrong disk for XP home?...
