I've also been impressed by Toshiba's sudden turnaround on how they handle customer issues now. I've also posted my experience with Toshiba on this very forum, and I, like you, was expecting the absolute worst support from them....

That reply was classic. So now your only point is to why the battery has a short life rather than why they didn't replace your (supposedly defected) battery. They are selling it because it's fine to do so. Mine lasts more than 2 hours...
Actually, I had it fixed directly through Toshiba on their dime. The nearest service center was too far away from me to do it that way.
