My Asus z70v's harddrive gets pretty warm as well. It hovers around 52-55 celsius (it's been this way ever since I got this notebook a year ago). These temperatures really bother me since 55 celsius is too close for comfort to the upper...
1. I believe that if you use the powersaving profile program provided with Asus, you will be able to set brightness mode to maximum even while on battery. 2. This sounds like it could be a gfx issue, though I would recommend that you...
nope, it's not muted i wish it were that simple
Not entirely sure as to how this happened, but last night when I was trying to listen to some mp3's, no sound came out. However, when I use headphones and turn the sound up as loud as possible, there is a crackling sound that is very...
Anyone find a solution to this problem yet? I've been seeing this off and on. Most of the time a simple restart solves the problem. However, recent attempts to restart/cold start my laptop haven't fixed this issue. I've been...
Use the omega drivers. It will give you the powerplay features which should allow for full clock speed while gaming on battery life.
Yeah, I underclock mine as well to 35/80 using ATI Tool. It somewhat helps a bit, but being able to undervolt the gpu will really lower temps even further.
Anyone know of a way to undervolt the GPU? I know that this is possible in desktop computers, but if we can undervolt the gpu in a laptop, that could solve a lot of heat issues.
Wow, those are pretty impressive specs. Slap bluetooth and DVI on there coupled with quiet and low-heat performance (i.e. seldom use of noisy fans) and I think we'll have a winner.
it depends on what gpu you have. For ATI you can use ATI Tool, or install Omega drivers and if you have a newer card compatible with Powerplay, you can use the powersaving featured in these drivers.
