Sounds alot like a bad DC Jack. Is the battery charged or you don't know? If the battery has a charge then you got something wrong with your motherboard, if the battery is dead then sounds like your DC Jack is broke and not charging the...
I use a small flat headed screw driver and just work my way around the base. Just slide it and the twist the screwdriver to pop it apart.
Any suggestions at all?
More details, it won't power on meaning you connect the AC adapter and it doesn't do anything? No lights, no fans, nothing? or There are lights just no post?
Can you upload a pic of the bottom of the laptop? Most of the time there will be one or two screws that you might overlook. Other than screws the only other thing that holds them together is little clips
