Amen to that! Having opened many working for Dell, the trick is to wrap some tape around them at the tip to make it into one big wire and straighten them out a bit
I had this problem with my M1710 as well, first when fear, then Crysis. Both times, taking out the heatsinks and blowing them clean solved the problem. Invest in some AS5 while you have it open
I run it at 1680x1050 on my external monitor @ Medium Settings(except shaders, low, and textures, high) with AA off, and it runs very very smooth. Looks alot better than "a 6yr old game" too

When I had this issue I actually did not have an nvidia Driver Helper Service to Disable. I ended up just going with a Dell driver
