i tried to get them to send me the motherboard, but because they dont know what exactly fried, it might have screw up the proc and other things too. therefore to they want to test it after they replaced it. Thanks for the info about...
The BIOS has been flashed to the latest A05 with the xps 2 bios. The computer will not post with the 7800 installed. the 7800 is out of an e1705, it doesnt have the cutout for the power wire. i mashed that down but its still not...
um.. doesnt help much since i dont have one... any input on the thermal pad would be appreciated though. Im thinking im just going to send it out all cleaned up with a letter to whom it may concern telling them everything thats ****ed...

so, i had a bad motherboard and i have to send my comp into dell to replace. I have as5 the cpu??? is this going to be a problem with the warranty?? Any ideas of what to do if it is, i guess i could look for a thermal pad to put on it...

well... i ****ed up and bought the wrong card apparently... the 7800 gtx for the E1705 or the m1710 is different than the one that we need? it doesnt fit properly... Im not doing so well here eh, a bad cpu and the wrong graphics...
