Do you know the model name of the Targus bag, OpticalIllusion? I could not find a reasonably sized Targus that'll hold a 17" laptop. All I could find is this huge "mountain survival" sized one.
The E1705 fits into the Macroloader with all the padding in place. So, there is good padding all around it. I still wouldn't throw it on the ground like a bag of books, though.
