Some time ago I asked here how to hack into those settings and I was told to either follow this path or just add it to the registry. But that was in XP and now I have Vista and that path isn't there. Anybody knows how to change that...

nope, no sound can be heard, you should check it cuz u might have something stuck in there... either stuck like somethingthat entered, or something loose from inside :s

you can use ati tray tools to get a better performance on your x700... I got a 5672 and the x1400 runs great, no need for tweaking so far [doom3, prey, fear at mid and some max settings, oblivion all at max except resolution is 1200 xga,...

I tried, but the ummm... KB3 [i think] the burning software in knoppix just didn't work :s and I don't have any external hard drive... mmm do you think having windows on ntfs makes the fat32 drive illegible, and if I reformat it as ntfs...

drivers aren't the big issue, the 2nd hard disk is. I can't live without it, AND what's inside it.

No, mine doesn't beeps when it starts. I never hibernate. It's just a constant beeping whenever she wants to beep. I have absolutely no problems with my laptop, but it beeps and I dunno why! :? It's not the hard disk, it's not a program...
