I've had my 8600 for 13 months. Still runs strong. Never had any of the overheating problems others have mentioned. I love mine. Mine has never had any major issues that I could not resolve. You will have to purchase a 8600 used....
Both systems were just reformated a couple of months ago. I usally reformat about once a year. Maybe I'll just hold off until I can buy a 100GB HD for my 8600. Thanks for the help.
I'm going to swap my HD's in the Notebooks listed in my SIG. I don't want spend a lot of time reinstalling everything. Can I use my 80GB external HD and copy both drives then just copy the info back on the swapped drives?
