I recognize I ended here searching for info on refurbished/replacement screens at Dell, as after a lot of emails and calls they refuse to reckon my screen is faulty. I have the horrible "white effect" on the bottom of the...

There's surely something wrong with your CPU, as 1m15s 1M Superpi is not usual even for a Yonah 2400. You should get much less, I get 26-27s with a Core 2 Duo 2Ghz. It's faster, but not that much. Maybe you have a lot of services, like...

One cool addition that made my roms was to put 2D voltage to the minimum 0.8v. I got 3-4c less that way. It's easily configurable if you know how to use NiBiToR, but would be a nice update to the next release yolda (if there's one).
Thanks a lot for the links Jeff! Looks like things are going forward for once. Vista didn't asked for reboot after installing the nvidia driver. Quote: Originally Posted by calstar Benz that is right. sub is disable....
Is it much faster than 5840? Because they improved a lot the startup and responsiveness, if it's even faster then it's close to XP.
Yes and there was a intelcod2patch.exe too. I remember it was for dual cores. Maybe I was (partly) wrong. Resolution still has an impact, but maybe not that much
