Bjorn, thanks..Actually i am eyeing for TOshiba M30-S350 (satellite). Eventhough it is 6.1 lbs, i like the widescreen ratio. I will search and see if anybody has bought it and messed with its HD.

I just read in PC mag, it suggested that if you 'uncheck cleartype' the ragged edges of fonts will not be there in laptops. Has anyone tried it with v505 sony?
