I'm like you Jack, 3-4K is alot to be spending on a system, I'd try to buy a M170 and wait until the prices drop on the 1710's

I think the M1710 is way overpriced also. Almost 4K is a bit much

I agree, techonolgy is changing so fast and with Vista coming I'm really interested in seeing the new systems and all the goodies
