ECC Ram is much slower, only if your running a server should you use it. But as most everyone, I leave my computer on 24/7. I never turn it off. As everyone has said, as long as it is cooled well, you are good to go.

Neither, iPod mini's are overpriced, just get the regular iPod. Its more then small enough, and has much more capacity

I understand, but its much faster then 0.9 on every machine I've loaded it on, as well as 2 other friends machines who also loaded it yesterday. So your definetely the minority, not sure why its slower for you.
