I did as you suggested DarthAcer. I ran Simpsons Hit and Run at 640x480 and 16bit Textures. It ran at almost too high a frame rate then the "slow-mo" effect kicked in. Same thing with Psi-Ops.

Yes it is a retail installation and I did a clean format. Windows update was run when I first installed it and I just ran it now and there was nothing critical to install however under reccomended it said there was a .Net 2.0 update...
