I have a p-m dothan 1.8, 512mb pc2700 ram, 60gig 7200rpm hd, 128mb mobility fireGL T2 (which is basically a 128mb 9600 since im using omega drivers). Using the .02 alpha of doom 3 i get almost 50fps avg. in 800x600 and about 32fps avg....
I use a p2p program called Limewire which runs off the gnutella network. Works great for not only mp3s but software and video files. So far it hasn't installed any spyware or anthing so i recommend you give it a try.
