The 8790 really is a terrible notebook. I remember when I put it on it's side it would overheat like crazy. The hard drive, battery and screen are now all dead. Might sell the parts though. I'm sure there are better and more reliable...
Thanks guys, but I did call Warrantech today and they said the same thing. Unfortunately PCtorque didn't send me anything. I know I won't be buying a Sager ever again, that's for sure.
Since PCtorque does not answer phone calls or any emails I was wondering if anybody knew how to use the extended warranties? Do we just call Warrantech or what? This 8790 I got is total crap, the battery is dead, hard drive crashed,...

If anybody would like the 8790 BIOS update, please let me know. I can send it to you or host it. The number of downloads is not a problem. After doing the update and installing the latest Catalyst drivers DVD playback is just fine!

Ahhhh, I remember those days when I first got mine....(harps playing in the background...) Congrats :-) I don't see why I would buy a PC anymore either.
Weird... my adapter does not look like that. I see your problem now! I remember when I tried hooking up my CRT monitor to my laptop, there was such a huge difference in quality! Of course I had a rather cheap monitor though.
Mine works fine. How doesn't it work? Just no output?
