i had a similar problem the A02 bios fixed it.

I havnt seen it. You could try the one for the 8600, many of the accessories are the same.

you will NEVER notice that difference. EVER!!! maybee when the increase was from 72mhz to 80mhz, but not now. Deal with it.

I am still running A01 since I do not have a floppy drive in this machine. Its nto when I come up from standby, its all the time. I guess I will just send it in.

Hey, my 9100 has the fans stuck all the way up. I downloaded fanGUI and I can stop 2 of them with it, but the one on the CPU stays running full blast. Dell wants me to send it in to them, but I cant do taht right now, im just looking...

hrm, today, after using the laptop for about 10 hours. I rebooted and the fans all came up at full RPM. I hadve downloaded fanGUI and if i hit stop in there they stop, but as soon as I restart the machine they go to full speed again.
