I looked at the warranty for the power bricks. It says it does not cover a failure due to normal usage And all the people i know with dell laptops have the older style power bricks (and laptops) and the adapters are too small.

I think you need to install the sigmatel driver first, then install sounblaster. I had the same problem on my e1505
