Yep timings are prettty meaningless for these laptops in the ram dept. Anyway, I got the patriot 4200. BTW, out of all the failed ram I have come across in my time, (built and managed 500+ machines) crucial ram has failed me the most...

I dont think the sony uses the Sonoma 533 FSB CPU... so it wont be good. I could be wrong but I believe that machine uses 400 FSB.

Umm, the 35% off is the best deal around unless you are in the military... Now is the time IMO.

Maybe $1100? The thing that kills it IMO is the screen. And, I don't think you'll get a lot more for it with 2GB of ram... I would sell it with 512 or so and keep the 2GB for the XPS 2.
