All Dothan/Sonoma CPU's are 479 pin, both your 9300's are 479. 478 is P4 only.
It seems you did NOT use the modified .inf file. You must download the corresponding inf file and place it in the extracted driver directory prior to installing. Uninstall the drivers and reinstall with the modified inf file.
No contest in my mind, the 9300.
What do the XPS's score in 3D 05 stock? My 9300 will do 4700 with a nice OC on the 6800, I'm sure the OC'd Ultra would do better but what about stock scores?
