Thanks guys for your help. The only reason why I am concerned about the processor is when I burn and watch HD movies on the computer, use multiple applications at once, etc. Last question - If I will be using the laptop for multimedia,...
I'm currently configuring a HP Pavilion dv5z, but I noticed that from its AMD processor, it has a significant void between it and the new intel penryns (T9300 or T8100); yet its gaming performance is not that bad with the IGP HD 3200 v....
Thanks both! So for my basic tasks that I will be running on the laptop, a mid-range card such as the 8400GS would be sufficient? or would I need something more powerful such as a 8400GT or 8600GS?

uhmm... are you sure you need the 8600? To upgrade to that card from the 8400 is quite a bit more than the performance offered. And unless you plan to do some pretty hard gaming on the computer, the 8400 should be enough to satisfy.
Although I haven't had a similar problem, "cloning" sounds like both screens will display the same thing while "extended" means that it will extend the desktop onto the second monitor; hence its name. Try checking the...
