Yeah, probably not worth the change unless you can do it for cheap. Mine overclocks up to around 675ish but not sure the extra 40 - 50 Mhz (assuming your 7900GTX can overclock that high) is worth $350.

As far as I know the 7950 has a higher core GPU voltage and HDCP capablities vs. the 7900. That should be it. I just don't know if the HDCP change is a silicon core change or a just a switch turned on that was already there.

I'm running 169.09's with good results under XP 32....
I don't actually own a M1710 but don't tell my 1705 that :-D Currently running mine at 1280 x 960 and 2XAA with everything on and it runs well for multiplayer. Run single player at 1680 x 1050 with all the bells and whistles (and 2XAA)...
One other thing on the 7950's.. The 7950 runs at 1.32 volts vs. 1.24 volts for the 7900GTX. That's part of the reason for the higher clock speeds.
