Turn off the overclocking and the light stops blinking - I had to turn it off as it was getting way too hot when i was doing computations. In the bios turbo mode or something like that.

I presume it depends on which audio driver you are using. I am using the one from uniwill's website.

When I press fn-f5 (volume up) or fn-f6 (volume-down) a little window opens up that shows a volume bar-increasing/decreasing. brightness (fn-f7,fn-f8) just raises lowers the screen brightness.

Personally I love it. I do mostly number crunching/programming on it and it is extremely quick. The screen is great. The external case is a little plain but for the $$ it is great. (The alienware looks great but costs a lot more.)
