I was wondering what is better now since my 1557gls with mobility 9700 128mb is approaching one year old.

The mwave deal for CL56 is Hot! Only comes to $1200 with a 1.6ghz dothan, 40gb 5400rpm hdd, and 1gb of ram. You dont need to worry about 2.0ghz dothan vs 1.6, the difference is hardly noticeable.

I'm using an old 1.3ghz pentium M in my aopen 1557gls. With overclocking to my ati video card, i can get 3200 in 3dmark2k1. It doesnt seem all that slower compared to my bros 1.7ghz pentium M. What do you guys think?

Don't count on the faceplates to be interchangeable. There are no standards for faceplate connection. It will work fine, but the aethestics be off and the you will have to reach a little farther back to get to the button.

I hate how my laptop starts charging whenever the battery falls past 95%. How can I set it so that it only charges when it falls past 10%? Thanks.
