Yep, noise is directly related to a noise some people pick up in their speakers/headphones/firewire, what have you. quick fix is to get one of those adapters for the power supply that turns it from a 3 prong to a 2 prong plug. worked...

I know when I called about the problems I've had with my 8790 (artifacts, can't play ANY games basically, NIC doesn't work, etc etc.) they told me "oh y eah, most of them have that problem, just send it back in for a fix" well...

well, there's a function key that switches between monitors. maybe it'll just turn the lcd off if there's no other monitor attached. worth a shot.

My 8790 runs Lineage2 flawlessly and I believe that at least up there in terms of textures etc with WoW. Well, flawlessly except the screen which distorts like a bad TV when it heats up a bit. ( the distortion doesn't come standard )

Every source I hear it from Xrays can majorly screw up the data on your drives. Havn't tried it myself though.
