That's what I wrote a while ago. The problem with Sager 8886/8887 TV Tuner design is that Line-in port will only activate/work when you are runing TVStudio program. No any other programs can make line-in work. I'm not sure if Sager...

You don't wanna connect sound from A/V sound to Mic jack. It's only support Mono sound and sound quality is much worse than Coax input.

If you are checking on Intel website for Intel 865PE chipset, you will find it support RAID only in the SATA(Serial ATA) interface. I believe there is no HDD for laptop in SATA interface yet. Sager 8890 might have a 3rd party chipset...
