well i dont know about the bios options (and you probably wont know till you get it (unless you already have it)), what memory timings you will be able to set. if you cant set it, then you wont have much choice than what the memory SPD...

what about new sager 5790? 7.5lbs 1"~1.8"x15.6"x11.5" p-m, ddr2, 17" screen, 7800gtx, dvd burner, gigabit, 4 usb, 1 firewire, a/b/g wifi

also you might want to check your states laws some states dont allow LCD/laptops in the front seat (in drivers FOV) regardless of content, while others are more lenient and allow for GPS devices ONLY (no dvd fun)

does that viao model accept DDR2 ? b/c most 400fsb are older p-m (dothan) that use DDR-400 (pc3200) rather than the newer p-m which utilize a 533fsb and use DDR2 533
