Area 51m 15.4" or 16" lcd

I am currently in phase one of buying an Alienware 51m laptop. I am currently configured for the 15.4" lcd. I've noticed that most of you guys are purchasing the 16" lcd. Besides real estate, is the 16" lcd better for picture quality? Also how does the computer sound with only two speakers on the 16" as opposed to the 15.4" with the four speaker set-up. Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My advice to you is to look at pictures and make a judgement for yourself. I once wanted the widescreen thinking it would be new and different, but once I saw how awkward and wasted space was on the lappie I had to go with the 16.1". With the 16.1" you are maximizing your real estate...hope this helped...

BTW...speakers-how good can laptop speakers be? Obviously, 4 is better than 2 but how much of a factor is that to you? For me, I have an external setup so I didn't care...

I also began my order with the 15.4, until I found out that the 16.1" screen is exactly the same width and has more vertical room. I've not heard either system's sound (order still pending) but I've heard they both have excellent sound.

Same thing as me once I saw the 15.4'' I put in the extra money to get the 16.1". Almost all laptops speakers are bad. So the more speakers in a laptop the worse the sound.

Just hit phase 13. WOOT!

Don't forget the 15.4" is SXGA while the 16.1" is a UXGA. You probably won't notice a difference...But still 1.9 million pixels Vs 1.3 million pixels.

Would be interested to know if the 15 suffers from the same "Washout" issue the 16 does.

I read a review that got the 15.4" screen and they said if you watch a standard screen move there will be black bars on the sides of the screen.
