Battlefield 1942 on a 256mb ram, or get a 1 gig and no BF2 for two weeks?

Its either i can get BF2 abd play it on 256 mb, or i can get 1 gig of ram and not have enough money (cell phone bill) to buy BF2. If i get BF2 and wait two weeks for the gig of ram, will BF2 lag alot. my comps specs are on my sig and ill be playing on cable connection.

If i dont get BF2 i can get the 1 gig and play warcract 3 for two weeks. I dont kno wat to do.

Playing BF2 with 256MB RAM will make you want to hurt your lappy. I highly recommend waiting and getting more ram unless you want to go nuts on your laptop coze of teh lag.

A gig of ram will serve you better in the long run.

1GB of ram is not enough to play BF2 without jerking, my lappy has 1GB and it swaps every now and then pissing me off since it always does it while im trying to line up a head shot you need a minimum of 1.5GB to play smoothly

sorry the site used to be black not grey, i'll change the color

BTW BF2 DOES run ok on my laptop except every now and then it freezes because the stupid HDD has to swap,

to play smoothly it should never swap, never freeze, never slow down

Hey man that sounds like a plan. 2 gigs should be juuuust perfect. You can probably even disable the page file.

agreed, I had an amd 64 3000+, 1 GB ram, 6800nu at 16p/6vs and it would lag at certain points. I got 1.5 GB of ram and everything went smoothly. BF2 really loves ram.
